Active Integrated Matter

What is it?

Active Integrated matter (AIM) is the convergence of material science, robotics, autonomous science, computer processing, computer sensing and big data into a single cohesive framework. This has implications for many areas in tertiary education and specifically in research. Among the key aims of the framework are Autonomous design, Food sustainability, Natural Disaster response and recovery, and manufacture.

Why is it important?

Many of the universities key research areas are impacted by this framework.

What to do next?

Parter with CSIRO, increase support for machine learning/AI.
